Do you wish to determine duplicate data in the given table? Its easy!!!
Use COUNTIF function for the purpose.
Select cells or the table in which you wish to determine the duplicate data. Go to Conditional Formatting and use COUNTIF formula. Following simple steps will help you.
- Select your cell range containing your data
- Select Conditional Formatting
- Select the option “Use a Formula To Determine Which Cells To Format”
- Set Formula using COUNTIF. Suppose this is our data:
- In that case our Formula would be:
=COUNTIF($A$1:$D$5,A1)>1
- Hit the Format Button and specify the formatting to apply to the cells where condition specified is true
- Let me set a color for such duplicate cells.
- Click "OK". Your duplicate cells are now highlighted with the color you selected!!!
